Georgia Regional Science Bowl registration opens October 5 for February 2027 subregional and state rounds

Coach registration for the Georgia High School Regional Science Bowl opens October 5, 2026, ahead of a February 2027 subregional round and state championship hosted by the University of West Georgia.

According to the Department of Energy’s registration page, coaches can begin creating accounts and submitting school preregistration starting October 5, 2026 at noon Eastern, with team registration due by November 23, 2026. The subregional competition takes place February 6, 2027, and the top teams from each subregion advance to the state championship on February 12, 2027 at the University of West Georgia’s Education Center in Carrollton. The event allows up to 30 teams, a maximum of two per school, and carries a $60 registration fee.
