Georgia Senate AI study committee finalizes report, recommends K-12 AI partnerships

The Georgia Senate Study Committee on Artificial Intelligence adopted its final report on December 3, 2024, with recommendations spanning several sectors, including a call for AI pathways in K-12 schools.

The nine member, bipartisan committee, created under Senate Resolution 476, unanimously passed a 185 page report at its final meeting at the State Capitol. Among the recommendations covering education, public safety, health care, agriculture and entertainment, the report calls for public and private partnerships to develop AI pathways in Georgia K-12 schools and for AI integration plans in higher education. Committee chair Sen. John Albers, R-Roswell, said he wants the recommendations turned into state legislation.
